The app runs on your computer. Browser-source overlays are served locally by PixelyChat.
Use this manual by task.
Connect accounts first, then configure the parts you need. Most settings are optional; the normal path is just Accounts → Chat → Overlay.
Built for live use.
Dashboard controls are designed so you can keep playing instead of jumping between four platform dashboards.

GETTING STARTED
First run
On a fresh install, PixelyChat opens at setup so you can connect one or more platforms. You do not need to connect all four. Start with the platforms you actually stream on.
Connect accounts
Open Accounts and sign in to Twitch, YouTube, Kick and/or TikTok. Authentication is handled through the platform's sign-in flow.
Check the Dashboard
Return to Dashboard to confirm that your connected platform is online and messages are arriving.
Style your chat
Open Chat Settings and choose a presentation style, typography, platform colors and filtering.
Add your overlay
Open Overlays, copy the Stream Overlay URL and add it to OBS or Streamlabs as a Browser Source.
Add optional features
Enable TTS, translation, alerts, bot automation or AI only when you need them. Each feature is independent.

LIVE CONTROL ROOM
Dashboard
The Dashboard is your operator view. It is separate from the public overlay and is where you read the combined chat, send supported messages, moderate users and keep an eye on live-platform status.
Platform cards
See connection state, viewer activity, message counts and stream uptime for connected platforms. A disconnected platform is the first thing to check when its chat disappears.
Stream information
Where supported, update your title and category without leaving PixelyChat. You can also copy the live link for a connected platform.
One chat composer
Select the platform, type your message and send it. TikTok sending is not currently available; YouTube sending is available while the live chat exists.
Emoji & emotes
Use the picker for emoji. When Twitch is selected, your available Twitch emotes can also be inserted.
Viewer total: the Stream Information area can show a combined viewer figure based on the live platform data PixelyChat already has.

CONNECTIONS
Accounts & platforms
Accounts is the only setup screen you need for platform authentication. Sign in through each platform's normal login window. PixelyChat uses the resulting authorization rather than asking you to paste passwords or stream keys into the app.
Twitch
Unified chat, emotes, moderation, message sending, TTS, translation and supported stream events.
YouTube
Live chat, supported message sending while live, subscriptions/Super Chats and related stream controls.
Kick
Unified chat, supported moderation and sending, TTS, translation and live stream controls.
TikTok LIVE
Live chat, follows, subscriptions, gifts, likes and viewer data. Chat sending is currently unavailable.
Advanced account options
Force a fresh login when you need to switch accounts instead of reusing an already-signed-in session, and optionally add your own EulerStream API key if you have a paid plan there — otherwise PixelyChat's shared relay is used automatically.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting an account removes that platform from the active PixelyChat session. It does not delete the underlying platform account.

TikTok chat is intentionally read-only in PixelyChat.
This does not prevent TikTok messages, gifts, follows or viewer information from being received when the connector is working.

Unified chat
All connected messages appear in one feed. Each message carries platform identity so you can tell at a glance where it originated.
Platform iconIdentifies the source platform without adding long platform names to every message.

Moderation
Moderation controls are available from the Dashboard and the compact chat dock where supported. The exact action set depends on the platform.

Good practice: keep platform-native moderation dashboards available as a backup. PixelyChat is a unified control layer, not a replacement for every platform-specific moderation feature.

AUTOMATION
Chat bot & AI
PixelyChat includes a built-in bot so common chat automation does not require a second service. The Bot screen is organized around the bot account, commands, automation and AI chat.
Bot account
Connect the account the bot should speak through, then use PixelyChat's platform-aware sending workflow.
Commands
Create commands with configurable access levels, cooldown behavior and responses. Randomized replies are useful for commands such as !8ball, !dadjoke or community-specific jokes.
Greetings
Automatically greet viewers, including targeted greetings for individual users where configured.
Shoutouts
Automate streamer shoutouts around the workflow you choose instead of typing them manually every time.
Event reactions
Build automatic responses to follows, subscriptions, gifts, raids and other supported events.
Timers & auto messages
Schedule recurring chat messages and keep the stream moving without manually repeating reminders.
Chat safety
Use built-in spam/scam and link-handling rules where configured, helping the bot react to unsafe or repetitive patterns.
AI co-host
Mention the bot to get a response. Choose a built-in personality such as Friendly, Funny, Sassy or Hype, or define your own.
Ignore other bots
Add other bots' usernames (Nightbot, StreamElements, etc.) to an ignore list so PixelyChat's bot doesn't reply to their messages.
AI privacy boundary.
The app's AI reply flow is designed around the chat message and the personality/context you configure. It is not given access to your files, local network, IP address, physical location or unrelated account data just because it is enabled.

AUDIO
Text-to-speech
Enable TTS when you want incoming chat to be spoken aloud while you play. TTS is separate from the visible chat feed, so you can keep the feed on screen while only selected messages are read.
Voice
Select a language and gender, preview the voice and set speaking speed. PixelyChat resolves the voice to the configured primary voice and can use a local system voice as a fallback.
Filtering
Skip emotes/emoji, ignore named bot accounts, restrict spoken chat to subscribers and optionally always read supported gift events.
Max queued linesPrevents a busy chat from creating a huge backlog. The oldest queued messages can be dropped when the limit is reached.
Minimum message lengthIgnore very short messages such as single-letter hype or repetitive one-word spam.
Skip repeated messagesSuppress repeated copy-pasta or raid spam within a configurable time window.

LANGUAGES
Translation
Translation is off by default. Enable it when your stream receives messages in languages you do not already understand.
Languages you understandAdd the languages you can already read. Messages in other languages are candidates for translation.
Primary languageUse the star control to choose the language everything should be translated into.
Show original textKeep the detected language and original message visible alongside the translation.
Translate usernamesTransliterate non-Latin usernames when possible while keeping the original username visible.
DefaultRestore the page to its standard configuration.

LANGUAGES
Interface language
This is separate from chat translation above. PixelyChat's own interface — menus and settings, bot replies, on-screen alerts, and spoken TTS announcements — can run entirely in one of 11 languages.

Stream alerts
Alerts give your stream visible feedback for supported events without requiring a separate alert provider. Configure the event presentation, then expose the alert output through the same local overlay workflow.
Themes
Start from built-in visual themes rather than building every event screen from scratch.
Sound & media
Customize sounds and visual media where the alert design supports them.
Templates
Use event-specific text and supported variables to make follows, subs, gifts and raids feel contextual.
Queueing
Events can queue so a burst of activity does not cause one alert to visually overwrite another.
EventsTurn individual events (Follow, Subscription, Resub, Gift, Gift Subs, Cheer, Raid, Channel Point Redeem, Hype Burst) on or off, and edit their message, sound or media per platform.
Media LibraryUpload your own audio and video clips to use as custom alert media instead of the built-in defaults.

VIEWER REWARDS
Rewards
Rewards turn Twitch/Kick Channel Point redemptions and TikTok gifts into their own on-screen reactions, without a separate alert provider or any scripting. Build from bundled presets or upload your own media, then let PixelyChat handle matching and queueing as redemptions come in.
Channel Points & gifts
Trigger from a Twitch or Kick Channel Point redemption, a specific TikTok gift, or any combination — set a point cost per platform.
Sound, visual & voice
Combine a sound, an on-screen visual, and an optional spoken line per reward — mix and match however fits.
Presets & uploads
Start from bundled visual and sound presets, or upload your own media to the Rewards Media Library.
Queueing
A burst of redemptions queues up instead of overlapping, with adjustable spacing and queue size.
RewardsCreate a custom reward for Twitch/Kick Channel Points or a TikTok gift, or activate one of PixelyChat's ready-made templates. Pick the trigger, cost per platform, and the sound, visual and spoken text reaction.

Widgets
Widgets gives you two ways to put interactive content on stream: Overlay Widgets stay visible for live information, while Action Widgets appear when you trigger them.
Goals
Add Follower, Subscriber and Gifts goals so viewers can see progress directly on stream.
Live stats
Show Viewer Count, Latest Follower, Recent / Top Supporter and a live Activity Feed.
Announcements
Rotate stream announcements without maintaining a separate overlay service.
Now Playing
Display the current track with the same widget workflow as your goals and stream stats.
Overlay WidgetsUse goals, stats, activity, announcements and Now Playing as persistent on-stream information.
Action WidgetsCreate on-demand Countdown, Stopwatch, Game Queue, Hype and Spin Wheel widgets.

Companion
Companion is PixelyChat’s on-stream AI co-host. It shares the selected AI Chat personality so the same character can reply in chat and react on stream with a 2D avatar, voice and captions.

Use the included female or male avatar, or upload five matching custom avatar states.
Live reactions
React to direct mentions, follows, subs, gifts, rewards and other stream events.
Voice
Use the free local Supertonic voice package or connect ElevenLabs with your own API key.
Stream output
Choose Always visible, Only when active or Audio only, with separate horizontal and vertical layouts.
SetupSet the Companion name, shared AI Chat personality, language, avatar, motion, visibility, captions and stream position.
ReactionsEnable event reactions, direct mentions, automatic greetings and auto-talk, then preview reactions before going live.

VISUAL DESIGN
Chat appearance
Chat Settings changes the public stream overlay, not the internal Dashboard chat. The preview is there so you can see the style before it is placed in OBS or Streamlabs.
Overlay styleChoose the overall presentation such as plain text, panel, bubbles, cards, neon or cyber-inspired layouts.
DisplayControl the visibility and arrangement of avatars, timestamps and platform indicators.
BackgroundAdjust the message/background treatment and transparency where the selected style supports it.
Highlight / glowChoose the accent color used by styles that have a glow, border or accent stripe.
FontSelect family, size and text color. Platform-color mode can apply platform identity directly to messages.
FilteringHide selected bot accounts from the public overlay without removing those messages from your operator-side chat, and choose whether TikTok join messages appear.

GO LIVE
OBS & Streamlabs
The Overlays page provides two local outputs: a Stream Overlay for viewers and an All-in-One Chat Dock for you.
OBS setup
- Open PixelyChat → Overlays.
- Copy the Stream Overlay URL.
- In OBS, add a Browser source.
- Paste the PixelyChat URL and set the width/height you want.
- Position the source in your scene. Changes made in PixelyChat update live.
No separate public web host is required — the overlay is served by PixelyChat on your computer.
Streamlabs setup
- Open PixelyChat → Overlays.
- Copy the Stream Overlay URL.
- Add a Browser Source / web source in Streamlabs.
- Paste the URL, choose your scene size and place it where you want.
- Keep PixelyChat running while streaming so the local overlay endpoint remains available.
Small Chat WindowStarting point for a compact chat area, sized against your current chat settings.
Large Chat WindowStarting point for a roomier chat area, useful when viewers need more lines visible at once.
Custom sizeYou can use your own source dimensions. PixelyChat fits the visible chat to the available space.

SUPPORT
Logs & diagnostics
When something goes wrong, start in Logs. The page exposes the running technical log and tools for collecting useful support information.
Severity filters
Switch between All, Info, Warn, Error and Debug to isolate useful messages.
Run Diagnostics
Run the built-in connection checks again without needing to restart the app.
Export Logs
Save the log file and attach it when reporting a reproducible problem.
Clear Logs
Remove the current local log history when you need a clean reproduction.
Support checklist:
Before reporting missing chat, first check the platform connection status, then run diagnostics, then reproduce the issue and export the logs.

COMMON QUESTIONS
FAQ & troubleshooting
Messages from one platform are missing.
Open Dashboard and look at that platform's connection state. If it is disconnected, reconnect it from Accounts. If it says connected but messages still do not arrive, run Diagnostics and inspect Logs.
OBS shows a blank overlay.
Make sure PixelyChat is open and the local overlay server is running. Re-copy the Stream Overlay URL from the Overlays page, verify the Browser Source URL and make sure the source can reach your local machine.
TTS is too far behind.
Open TTS Settings → Advanced Settings. Lower Max Queued Lines, raise Minimum Message Length and/or enable Skip Repeated Messages for busy streams.
TTS reads bot spam.
Enable Ignore Bot Messages and add the offending username to the ignored list. You can also use the chat overlay's bot filtering independently of TTS.
Translation is not appearing immediately.
Incoming chat is displayed first; translation can arrive a moment later. Check that Enable Translation is on and that your primary language is configured.
Can PixelyChat send TikTok chat messages?
Not currently. TikTok sending is disabled in the supplied build; the rest of the supported TikTok live-chat reading workflow remains available.
Does the app need to stay open for OBS overlays?
Yes. The overlays are served locally by PixelyChat, so the app needs to be running while you use that Browser Source.
Do I need StreamElements or another alert provider?
No. PixelyChat includes its own alert rendering and browser-source output for the events it supports.
